Argh, feeling glum, dumb and in desperate need of a kick up the animus!
The comedown from all the weekend's fun has hit me hard this week, bad time of the month to boot. Yesterday my new computer, new as of Friday, crashed then refused to start up again. Having been brought off ebay, secondhand, this is a little worrying. All my marvelous plans for it have fallen flat and I am in a 'what's the point' frame of mind.
I had a lovely time in Leeds, great to catch up with friends who live far away and camping was fun, although a little cold. The festival itself was slightly lacking the atmosphere of Glastonbury mainly due to, in my opinion, the fact it was so commercialised. Everywhere you turned there was some advert for this or promotion for that. They even had adverts on the screen in between the acts. As I'm sure you're all aware I'm not a fan of this consumer age we live in and the fact the festival was so obviously a money making venture soured it for me a little, it should be about the music and the congregation of people, not getting lots of people in one place so you can shove advertisements down there throats.
Anyhow, The Who were, yet again, stunning. And my friends who are fond of their music but not exactly fans were blown away by how good they were. They've even requested we go again. Unfortunately it's looking as though my Who adventures are over for the time being, with there soon departure for europe and my lack of funds.
The big festival crowd at 02 and the fact that there was no way of getting anywhere near the front (although this time I wasn't in a fighting mood) made me realise just how lucky we were to see them at Leeds Union and reinforced what a wonderful experience it was.
Just wish I could do it all again, I'm afraid I've been spoiled!
Enough moaning from me, I'm sure my mood will pick up and my computer will be fixed soon. Until then I shall sulk in silence!

Update;
I'm afraid I had to break my sulking silence as I need a further rant. I just discovered my computer is well and truely buggered and that to get it fixed I need to pay £100 plus the cost of a new hard drive. Money that I just don't have as I just spent every last penny I have on the damned thing. Can't express quite how gutted I am by all this. Not only am I seriously out of pocket but I am now without a computer and home internet access, which means missing Sundays webcast (I wanted to be there making history). The moral of this story is never buy a secondhand computer off ebay unless you can afford a new one.
To add to my misery a whole department of very nice ladies I have been working along side for four years, has shut today. They are currently having a goodbye party which I tryed to attend but couldn't hold back the huge lump in my throat and not wanting to blubber in front of everyone I had to leave promptly. Going home now, where I can have a good sob in private. Hope everyone else is having a little better luck than I am!

Aww,
it's like post-Who partum. :( Sorry you've come crashing down, my dear. I hope things pick up soon.

Maybe an English quaterfinal win will lift the spirits?

Cheers,

geez...the come down from a wrath of good. Be glad you didn't lose your post, sue and expose the seller on Ebay (try to get your money back), and start anew.

and make your beau get in the tub with you!
