Now I'm a firm believer that the 'getting excited' bit is all part of the fun but when I received my tickets for The Who at Leeds Uni I had to try my very hardest to curb my excitement because it was all getting a little too much. And Mick was just as bad, he kept letting out huge sighs and clutching his chest as if a cardiac arrest was imminent and if we caught each others eye hysteria would ensue.
I even had to tell Mick to turn off The Who CD we were listening to and I haven't been able to listen to them since. Even writing about it here has set free the butterflies in my stomach....deep breaths.....calm.....think about something else.....whoooooooo.....oh god!
To make matters worse, this week Michael and I are going to Leeds on our own, only to go back the week after to catch the Who at the 02 festival along with all my bestest loveliest friends. Also, Peter Blake one of my favourite artists is going to be in the audience on Saturday as he is doing a 'Live at Leeds' painting to celebrate the unveiling of a blue plaque commemorating the original gig. And on top of all that tommorrow is my birthday! Ooooh dear think I need some valium before I spontaneously combust!
I promise to take photos on Saturday to post up and if I see the cameras filming the gig I will jump in front and give you all a big wave! : )
Hope everyone in blogland is having a fine time. Sorry to be so darn happy if you're not.

P.S. Here's a funny little Who fact. The Who played Leicester Union, where I work, on June 14th 1968. A gig I wouldn't have missed for the world although unfortunately I wasn't born for another ten years. Can't have it all I suppose.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's going to be one amazing show isn't it?

(My second and third Who gigs were at L'pool Uni., when they played "Who's Next". I still get goose bumps even remembering that. If I were you I'd be beside myself right now!)

Really Moon Pie I am curious on what all of the joy, the eruption around most of the world, spanning 15 mos, thanks to the Who, what this will do to alter the cosmos. Will strawberries bloom on the moon?

I am happy as all get out for you. on and beyond,

Thanks Sue! ; )
Ian, I get the impression that all the shows, as they are being filmed for the who live TV, will then be available on DVD. But not sure about CD, they did do this for the last tour though.

Nearly the weekend! Though time is going extremely slowly for me at the moment, fear it may stop altogether if it carries on at this rate.
