Hi all,
Well my new flat is an absolute dream, I couldn't ask for more. The only problem is that my internet connection is appalling, so very slow, hence my absence from blogger. But as I am quickly approaching thirty (only two days left of my twenties) I figured it was time I made an appearance. I've been rushing around trying to complete tasks I've set myself before the new decade begins. I've been working on several exciting projects, designing badges, helping to try and save an old railway bridge and assisting my friends set up their new festival tea tent, I've designed a logo, made badges and painted a huge sign for them. Twist and Spout (the tea tent) opens it's doors (or should I say flaps) at a small festival in Lynmouth Devon on Saturday, so I shall be spending my thirtieth dancing my socks off by the sea, I can't think of anything better!
Below are a few photos of the new flat, well the garden anyhow, as I mentioned it's Victorian and very grand, we even have a tower! (Well it isn't ours but is the view out of our window.) It's so serene and apparently used to be a home to nuns, we're trying to find out it's history as we think it was some sort of institution but have so far drawn a blank, I found an 1888 map when our building was the only thing for miles and it was labeled in very large letters which lead me to believe it was something people would travel to. The picture of the sparrowhawk was taken just after we had arrived after receiving the keys.He was sat right outside our window. I, being that way inclined, saw being greeted by this little fellow a very good sign indeed!
