Okay I know these are blurred but the photos I took with the flash were awful and I thought these captured the psychedelia much better.
The party was, thank goodness, a success. The venue looked great once it was decked out and my friends DJing was super, a whole night of psyche, with even a little folk thrown in. It didn't take me long to get on the dance floor, as ever, and I think for a while myself and Sarah (who's birthday it was) were the unintentional entertainment with our sycronised dancing, jigging and dosie-doeing, as I mentioned before the double vodkas were very cheap!
The ebay outfit, that I had accidently ripped when trying to squeeze into was rescued by sewing up the rips, attaching ribbon and wearing back to front, as a dress coat, I've become an expert over the years at fixing my clumsy blunders, it's quite a talent I have, although I could save myself a hell of a lot of time if I did things properly in the first place, oh well I got my new outfit in the end.
The only problem with the party was that it ended so early, I could only get the place until 12pm, and although I tried to get it off to an early start the guest weren't so obliging, all my friends, all of them, are terrible timekeepers, so they turned up in dribs and drabs and by the time they finally made it to the dance floor and everyone was really enjoying themselves the music had to stop. We all moved on to a club, but they were'nt playing psychedelia and it was far too busy, so I soon got bored and went home. Still, I managed to go to bed as the birds were singing, which I remember smiling about as I closed my eyes, thinking about all the coming summer nights of fun.
Sarah enjoyed herself, she came round last night with gifts of homemade cakes as a thank you, and that's all that matters. And I had a great night, I love to dance!
I'm missing having things to organize, and when I told this to Dan the DJ he suggested putting on a night open to the public, so this could be the next project, watch this space.......

god pictures. (I hate "flash", it takes all the atmosphere away).
Sounds like you'll be opening a small club soon... an "open mike" night, (Attic watch out!)

Looks like someone in stripes was dancing herself away. Darn friends not showing up in time to really enjoy your spectacularly arranged party! I have a feeling people had a great time because you are such a great friend.

PS: I don't suppose you made the Who convention. There are images available and tho mostly crowded with men, there's a young woman of about your height, hair length, and raspberry (nearly) red-coloured coat. I wondered if the woman might be you!

Hiya Gina,
Yes, that is me! I just looked at the photos Pkeets has posted on the chat forum and you can see me in my red coat buying our copy of 'Amazing Journey.' Also theres one with Roger where we're stood behind him, a headless Mick and me in a stripy top. How exciting! We had such a fantastic day. I'll be back to post pictures later.
Hope you had a nice weekend, it's back to the grind stone I suppose!
