Shock horror, I am currently computerless, well luckily I have access at work otherwise I wouldn't be able to write this, but my crabby old home computer has given up the ghost. I'm a little worried as I have so many unbacked up photos but I'm hoping they are still okay. However internet access is definately a no no. It's amazing how cut off and alone you feel when you are suddenly without internet access. Last night I kept forgetting and standing up to go and look at something on the internet, there are so many occasions when you need to find something out or contact someone but can't. How did we ever manage without it?
It's funny though, my life is ruled by such instant karma, or should I say balanced luck. Whenever something good or lucky happens, like my boyfriend getting his job, every thing else around me that can go wrong does go wrong. I also got a flat tyre this morning and I'm sure there will be many more examples in the days to come. I'm still on high from the 'job' news though so these little anoyances aren't really troubling me, but it is funny, it's always the way. At least my luck balances itself out fairly quickly and I don't have to wait for a build up of good or bad luck. As for instant karma I've had some uncanny instances involving this. Once I was at a bus stop with a vagrant type, (couldn't think of a nicer way of putting it) and he had a really bad leg, he was limping, when the bus finally arrived the bus driver didn't like the look of him and wouldn't let him on the bus, I was disgusted, so I got a taxi for him and took him back to his shelter. Later that night I had a fortunate stroke of luck with a cigarette machine that kept giving me cigarettes and my money back. It worked out that the money I recieved out of it including the price of the ciggarettes was the exact amount I had spent on the taxi. Spooky eh! It's just another example of syncroncity I suppose. Does this sort of thing happen to everyone?
I noticed on Ing's blog people discussing how blogland is full of coincidences, somebody noted that Arnold Schwarzenegger keeps coming up, stranger still Ing and I left comments about the Tookie Williams case ( of which I am shocked and dismayed at the outcome) here only the other day mentioning the Governor himself. I'm not a fan of the man myself, even less now, I always enjoyed the 'Terminator' films but he's given a whole new meaning to the title 'Terminator' in the past few days. Anyway, sorry I'm digressing, my point is that there does seem to be much sychroncity in blogland, which has got to be a good thing. I really should go home now, I can't stay at work all night even if there is no internet at home.

Hello moonpie,

I'm so happy my friend Ing has shown you or has emphasized the odd miracle of coincidence. I have the same fortunes. When up is Up, it seems that to realise what is Up something must come down.

I love your story about the rescue of the vagrant and your receipt of kinds of gifts (tho I wish you wouldn't smoke--me, too). I am convinced the vagrant received fortune for his bum leg.

I had a connection and still do with my grandparents. They're deceased and have been for many years, but they indeed served the inpspiration and in particular they had kneeded (like dough) for me some details in a piece, "Two Yellow Leaves", I had written about them. The piece was published. And I was least of all surprised. Not due to my ability as a writer, but owing entirely to them. For them. Forever.

You're grand. Sorry about the tyre. It's flat maybe just to enhance the great news about your boyfriend getting a job!!!!

Yeah!!!

I know, too, what it's like to be cut off from the world by technology. We were no where near where we are now, to communicate as I am to you, four years ago. Remember and poof the worry of it all, I hope, disappears. Seems only online configurations are goofy and that your hard drive is secure. Dial up your online provider and spend a few evenings working out how you can, as a paying customer, remedy your online status. Takes patience, but I think you have those.

You're a gem.

Hi Ginab,
Thanks for your comments, it really cheered me up. My prediction of more bad luck was correct,I came down with tonsilitus yesterday. This is the fourth time I've had it this year ever since I gave up smoking!
That's really interesting about your grandparents. I've found that using intuition opens up a whole new world. It is not always easy to explain these things because they come from the heart and can seem irrational to other people but when you listen to your inner voice life can be much richer, it's sound like you know all this anyway!
I may be without a computer for quite a while now but will endevour to get back online a.s.a.p. I can't do without my blog for long. Thanks again for your comments.
