Well, it's back to work today, no more gardening and galivanting for me, until I get home tonight anyway.
I've had a very pleasant weekend looking after my two nephews, they're are both under five and not being experienced in the looking after of small children I was a little apprehensive to say the least but it all went well, not too many tears, on their part or mine! They sussed me out straight away though, 'Do you ever get cross?' one of them asked me, in truth it takes quite alot, (unless I'm drunk) I told him 'yes and when I do Mick gets so scared he has to lock himself in the bathroom'. I think they realised I was joking because their were some attempts to make me cross, well, to see how far they could push me and when I tried to be stern they just smiled at me so sweetly that I couldn't help but laugh. Luckily Mick managed to keep some control over things playing the bad cop but he missed out on all the cuddles. They are funny. I think a certain amount of naughtiness shows intelligence and personally I think they're destined for great things, they're already such little characters, but I guess I would think that being their Auntie Joujou. (How can I get cross when they call me Auntie Joujou? They're just too cute.)
Geeeez work is slow, the only thing that is going to get me through this week is the fact I have a fun weekend planned. I'm going to Birmingham to see one of my favourite bands 'Low'. I've never seen them before and I should think I will be a blubbering wreck during the show. Their music is tremendously moving. Mimi Parker has such an angelic voice and she compliments Alan Sparkhawk somber tones beautifully. Oh words can't explain I will try and find a download of some of their music and post a link so you can hear them for yourselves if you haven't already, but for now I better get down the supermarket or else we will be going hungry tonight.
Update;
Finally found a bit of Low on the internet, sorry for the delay they aren't the easiest to find because a 'Low' seach brings up every bargain on the internet. Anyway if anyone is interested if you go to; www.liveeyetv.org click on 'episodes' on the side bar, then scroll down to episode 5 you'll find a Low quicktime file, this is the video for 'Monkey' a song of their most recent album 'the great destroyer'.
