Hello my dear,
thanks for dropping by. That's a lovely pic- the oranges are so vibrant.
I hope you're doing well these days.

Cool - very Linklater a la Waking Life! But they're apples, right? Speaking of Linklater, have you seen A Scanner Darkly yet?

Hi Anne Marie,
Glad you like the picture. I was just messing around on photoshop. I'm still a little fed up to be honest but once we've got passed the winter solstice I'm sure things will start looking up, all downhill from there and all that. Hope you're well. I love the photos on your blog, looks like a lot of fun was had by all.
Hello Paul,
Apples-yes, from the allotment, I've been enjoying baking crumbles with the last few.
And thanks I hadn't heard of the new film, I looked it up on IMDB and it doesn't appear to be out yet over here, sounds really interesting though, I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets these deep winter blues. Not long now though until the shortest day is behind us. A couple of weeks ago, whilst I still had the autumn shades of your picture, I was fine. But this subsequent dark, damp, gloom, gets me down.
Thanks for posting Sandy Denny. This morning, whilst driving to get the weekend groceries, it was announced on radio 2 that dave Gilmore and David Bowie are releasing a limited edition 3-track CD of Syd Barrett songs. I was so excited I practically came off the road. They played one of the tracks, Arnold Lane, and it was great.

Was going to say this piece by you looks not unlike some by IanG! Accomplished, I would say. While you might be searching for light, you find evidence of light in what you see as shone here on the apple tree. Lovely colors and light!
You're really well and truly good!

Hi Ian,
I heard Arnold Layne on the radio too although I didn't realise who it was. Gilmour and Bowie...interesting. I shall listen out for the other two. I've been enjoying the break in the gloom this weekend, nice to see the sun, even though it's blooming cold!
Hi Gina,
The evidence of light is also what I've been trying to capture in an oil painting I've been working on this weekend too, the green glow of moss on the branches of a hawthorn. The search for light, yes, I really like that.
Thanks all!
