Sunday night (already) and things have cooled off a little here, finally! Really not used to all this hot weather, I shouldn't complain because I love the summer but this cooling breeze is very welcome, so very welcome. Had a funny old weekend, let just say that it's been emotional. Yesterday was just a long series of mishaps, of which today I have the scars to prove but it was nothing serious in fact today it seems all very slap stick. Today was a very 'Sunday' Sunday of which I am grateful, off on more adventures over the coming weeks so a weekend at home has been happily grounding.
I only have a week of work and then I get a weeks holiday. We are going to Northumberland for some sea air and deep sleep. Then the week after we are going to the 'Green man' festival which I am really excited about, so many great bands are playing, it should be a real treat. I'm planning on making a film.
The smug-shot below I have entitled 'Me and my marrow'. Oh the joys of vegetables! This is getting cooked up tommorow in the only manner a marrow can be cooked according to the recipes I have found, stuffed and baked,my chosen stuffing; chicken and tarragon. The fresh produce is finally getting to the table and I'm really getting into cooking. It seems only fitting to serve up my beloved vegetables with the same care and attention in which they were raised! I'm discovering a whole new respect for food and am developing a deep dislike to the processed prepackaged rubbish, but it is almost impossible to avoid altogether. It saddens me how we are programmed to believe all this crap is great when it contains little or no nutritional value at all. But hey it's too late on a Sunday evening to start tackling the world's bad eating habits and I don't want to get all high and mighty because I've grown a few beans, I mean, heck, people have been doing it forever.
Anyhow, just wanted to check in and say hello, been a little quiet recently, just not had the words. The waxing moon will draw them out of me again, I'm sure. Until then...!
