Here is another little tour of the old sheds on our allotment. I guess it's just because I'm so proud of our new shed (and a handsome shed it is too!) but when I walk around these I think about how once they would have had so much bustle and productivity surrounding them and how they now lay like old bones, lonesome and abandoned and I find them really quite sad. Sad and poignant and beautiful.

Hi Moonpie,
I really love the first picture- the frame of the shed really does resemble bones, especially with the black and white.

Quite brilliant really. The twisty branches and angular sheds make for good subjects. Are you using digital or 35mm? I particularly like the one with you pearing in the window and the soft glow effect. That is a fascinating shed with all that stuff growing inside. Very good, you both have 'good eyes'.

Hi Anne-Marie, Hi Paul,
Glad you both enjoyed the photos.
They are taken with a digital camera but I also take them into photoshop and mess around with the contrast or sometimes the colour, I'm not sure if this is cheating really but I always like the results.

Whoops I can't spell!
Hi Ian,
I'm not too sure about Tracy Emin's art, I wouldn't say I was a fan really but I'm glad she exists or at least that she can do what she does and have a career with it and I enjoy her article in the independent, she seems a nice person, but no a shed with a head doesn't move me anymore than the sheds on our allotment, in fact I think I prefer them in there own context, brambles and all.
Thanks for the link.

Oh I hear the crackling quiet and I feel the scratching of nettles against my skin. These pics are rich in texture and should be seen by more than us.
Get on the stick, in other words ;-).
Thank you for the well wishes!
