Happy Thursday! The weekend starts here for me, now my boyfriend doesn't work Fridays it seems only appropriate that I join in with the premature weekend fun, I do have to work tommorrow but I ignore this. Friday is Friday anyway it's not the same as the rest of the working days when you have to just get your head down, no Friday is just for looking forward to Saturday, this is how I get through my week anyway.
I've been extremely slack in my blog writing of late, I haven't really had anything interesting to write about to be honest. And when I have had something interesting, like the amazing folk gig I went to at the Barbican the other week, by the time I have got round to writing about it, it seems like the moment has passed, so I don't bother. I'm starting to bore myself now, yawn.... I shall go before I send people to sleep.
The Painting here is called 'Three women and Three Wolves' and it is by the Art Noveau artist Eugene Grasset. I like the colours and patterns on the trees, I also like the witchyness. Not sure what the bugle type instrument symbolises, any ideas?

The call of the wild?
Nice painting, actually. It reminds me of the cover of Styx's The Grand Illusion.

The black dogs are eerie, but eerie in a good way. I'm looking forward to reading about your garden come Spring. Remember, my uncle was a gardener and I have his "special book" of hints and "wisements".
Yes, it's real time now in a different sense, without TBWHM to keep us up and responding. Hopefully we will all turn our well meaning selves to our selves and our own efforts to write the world as a better place. I am grateful to be able to say hello to fellow bloggers, to you Moonpie, for instance. How funny, that without Pete I would not be saying hello to you. Awe.
He's been generous with his time, with us. And the whole scenario could not have come around at a better time for me, personally. I know that's true for several TBWHM devotees.
Yes, I turn 40 on Wednesday. Yeesh. I just finally handed in a roll of film and I'll recieve it back, along with the images on a CD, and so I plan to hopefully post something--one of my dog, for sure, and perhaps one of me tho they are all self-shot. I believe there are a few with me wearing a red jumper and red is a favorite colour except I tend to like all colors. Anywho...I'll post something.
The interesting thing about that story over to mine is that now that I read it on the blog, I see all of its problems, all of its quirks. I was trying too hard. Yes, tho, the ending. It's based on a true family that lived in my neighbourhood. I was walking Bea Bea one afternoon and I saw the landlord sweeping his hands through the long grass in search of housekeys. He seemed pretty angry, while I was to my bones terribly glad the family were able to leave. I had worried for them, for their limited English, for their health during the terribly cold months here. I watched the baby boy grow from his mum's tum, to learning to walk. I'll redo the piece.
Thanks for saying hello.
